My Loves & I

Born in the heart of Alabama to a Korean mother and a French/English father, my journey took a pivotal turn at six when we moved to the serene landscapes of Vermont. Those ten years left a lasting imprint on my soul. Vermont’s palette of colors, the dance of light through the seasons, the crisp air filled with the scent of autumn leaves—these are memories I carry with me always. It was in Vermont’s enchanting stillness, particularly after a fresh snowfall, that I first picked up a camera, eager to capture the magic of those fleeting moments. The rich history etched into the buildings and the natural beauty surrounding me sparked a passion I’ve nurtured ever since.

At 16, life swept me to Germany, igniting a six-year adventure that took me across the globe—China, Korea, Thailand, France, Scotland, and Norway. Each place added a brushstroke to the canvas of my life, but it was in Norway that I found what I had unknowingly been searching for all along. On a visa renewal trip to New York City, I met my soulmate. In an instant, I knew. He was my home. Nine years, eight homes, and three beautiful children later, we are still writing our story together.

I’m also a synesthete—everything in life, every memory, every emotion, is deeply intertwined with color. It’s as if the world has its own private spectrum just for me. I see color in music, in feelings, in moments, and it weaves its way through my photography, giving each image a life of its own.

As a double Leo with a Pisces moon, my heart is boundless, and I feel deeply. I’m easily excited by the world around me, by learning, by growing. Although I’m secretly an introvert, you’d never guess—quiet moments and hobbies are what refuel me. History, travel, antiques, and the intricacies of life fascinate me, and I find joy in the details that often go unnoticed.

Small talk isn’t for me; I long for genuine connection, for the depth that comes from sharing real stories. Vulnerability is where life truly happens. When I met my partner, Alan, I felt the presence of our future children even before they arrived. Becoming a mother completed a piece of me that had always been waiting to fall into place. Now, as I watch them grow, I’m constantly reminded of how precious these moments are, which is why I return to my camera again and again.

My Way of Life

When I’m not capturing life through my lens, my days are spent mothering my three loves—teaching, guiding, and evolving alongside them. Being their role model means showing them that growth is a lifelong journey, one of curiosity and love. I’m an avid reader, constantly picking up new hobbies and diving into the beauty of history, interior design, classical music, and the art of slow living. Needle felting, flower pressing, and herbal wisdom bring a sense of calm and connection to my days.

Our mornings begin with warm bowls of porridge, matcha lattes in hand, as we gather together before the world wakes up. The quiet moments in our garden with my littlest one, Daisy, remind me that life’s simplest pleasures are the most profound.

Our life may not be extraordinary in the grand sense, but it is filled with warmth, love, and an ever-present sense of wonder. And to me, that is everything.
